Ocasio Cortez 3 Branches

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit back at Republicans for criticizing her latest misstep, saying they need to stop “drooling” over every word that comes out of her mouth.

“Maybe instead of Republicans drooling over every minute of footage of me in slow-mo, waiting to chop up word slips that I correct in real-tomd, they actually step up enough to make the argument they want to make: that they don’t believe people deserve a right to healthcare,” she said in response to a Republican state lawmaker wondering if the Democratic Socialist could explain a “chamber of government.”

The exchange comes after Ocasio-Cortez seemed confused about the structure of the U.S. government.

'If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House,' she said Saturday in a call with Justice Democrats, a progressive political action committee.

  2. Kyle Olson at The American Mirror was ready to pounce, with the old prissy party-pooper point that what she really meant was “three branches of government,” one of which, the judicial branch, she left out. Technically, the Senate and the House are the same branch of government (the legislative, for the pedantic buzzkills out there).

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated on July 23, 2018 in a tweet: In New York City, 'for every one person experiencing homelessness here, there are about three vacant apartments.'

Ocasio-Cortez encouraged far-left supporters to join Justice Democrats if they were interested in becoming a member of Congress.

“If you’re a strong progressive leader in your community and committed to getting money out of politics, I want you to join me in Congress. I want you to run.
“To run in 2020 without corporate money, you need to start considering now. Join @justicedems tonight to learn more.”

Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed this weekend that she has no idea what the three branches of the U.S. government are during a conference call with prospective far-left political candidates.

“If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Saturday while on a call with Justice Democrats.

The three branches, not chambers, of the U.S. government, are the executive, legislative, and judicial.

“Long story short, I need you to run for office,” Ocasio-Cortez said in the video. “All Americans know money in politics is a huge problem, but unfortunately, the way that we fix it is by demanding that our incumbents give it up or by running fierce campaigns ourselves. That’s really what we need to do to save this country. That’s just what it is.”
