Update #12 (10/7)
- It’s not like UPenn’s ED applications weren’t on the rise before the SAT redesign. Just have a look at the historical Early Decision figures at UPenn that we’ve compiled through the years: since the Class of 2007, ED applications submitted to the school have climbed from the 2,000s to the 3,000s to the 4,000s to the 5,000s to the 6,000s.
- Early admission results are in for the Class of 2024 and we've compiled the results for you. Barnard (ED) 1,242: 314: 25%: Link: Boston College (ED) 2,750: 1,018.
- Meet Duke's Class of 2024: The Chronicle's first-year survey results. By Selena Qian. New Durham eatery Plum serves up southern hospitality and comfort food.
- The number of ED applicants decreased by 550 for the Class of 2024 at Duke. Duke admitted 887 high school seniors from a pool of 4,300 Early Decision applicants. By applying Early Decision, these students indicate that Duke is their first choice and commit to enroll at the university if admitted.
The university received 6,615 early decision applicants (a 7 percent increase over the past year’s ED applicant numbers) and admitted 23.8 percent (1,576 students), meaning its admit rate increased by 1.2 percentage points. Those admitted are estimated to comprise 49 percent of the Class of 2024.
Here's our initial list of reported early decision and early action admission rates for the Class of 2024.

Welcome to Columbia, CC and SEAS Class of 2024!
Early Decision results for Columbia’s Class of 2024 were released online at 7:00 PM EST today. The Columbia Undergraduate Admissions Office canceled their annual celebratory Early Decision event today in light of the fatal incident in Morningside Park last night.
Last year, Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science received 4,461 Early Decision applications, marking the largest applicant pool in the university’s history. Undergraduate Admissions has not yet released any information regarding the incoming class, however. Bwog will update with information as we receive it.
